Most Chicago natives agree, the excitement of the eventful and gorgeous summers in Chicago is the payoff for the chilly months! This impressionistic oil painting was meant to capture my favorite part of the first sign of summer in Chicago, the boats returning to Belmont Harbor, right next to the famous Lakeshore Drive. Its beautiful skyline view captures the colorful variety of architecture that makes Chicago truly unique.
