Introvert

This colorful painting of feet stepping, somewhat floating, on a bed of fall leaves with rich reds and purples, is a piece that you can zone out on and find little characters within the shapes. What do you see? I began this piece with a photo and separated the light and shadows to create the overall shape, doodling inside the shadows what I saw within the mind's eye. The result was mostly mythical or sci-fi creatures, either screaming or with no mouths at all. I called it "Introvert" because we are looking down, and the viewer is transported into the owner of the feet's imagination.
